Less carnival, more inflatables for St. Paul Park Heritage Days

Heritage Days is saying goodbye to carnivals.

After Cody Rides pulled out of their contract to provide a carnival late July last year, organizers have decided to try something new for the upcoming festival.

"We are not going to have a carnival this year," said Bruce Zenner, council liaison to the Heritage Days Planning Committee, at the Feb. 5 city council meeting. "They are looking into more entertainment, more music, and possibly more of the inflatables. Those actually went over pretty good last year so ... we can get more inflatables for the kids and adults."

The Heritage Days Planning Committee is also still looking for community members to submit ideas for the 2018 theme.
