p>In the 7100 block of Hidden Valley Trail, an unknown person entered a vehicle in the driveway and stole a cordless drill, change and a garage door opener Feb. 15. Using the door opener, the person went into the garage and took a spare set of keys for another vehicle that was in the garage. Loss: $175. A 29-year-old Cottage Grove man was cited for theft after stealing $104 of gas from BP, 8490 East Point Douglas Road, across three days. On Feb. 10, 12 and 14 he drove off without paying for the gas.
A pickup truck with an attached plow was stolen from the C&B Enterprises lot, 100 Seventh Ave., Jan. 26. There were $5,000 worth of accessories in the vehicle when it was stolen. Alliance Auto, 2030 Hastings Ave., reported a vehicle missing off their lot Jan. 29. The office door was found open, with no signs of forced entry, and several keys were missing.
Two Cottage Grove Middle School students are receiving in-school consequences after reports of harassment Feb. 1. Domestic assault Bobbie Ray Powell, 56, of Cottage Grove, is facing charges for two counts of misdemeanor domestic assault after he pushed an adult woman and juvenile male Feb. 1 in the 7500 block of 85th Street. The victims had scratches and small cuts.
A 38-year-old Cottage Grove man had his jacket containing wallet, keys and credit cards stolen at Park Place Bar, 200 Broadway Ave., Feb. 3. Loss: $230. A BMX bike was stolen from a garage in the 1300 block of Marshall Avenue Feb. 2. Loss: $200. A car was stolen from East Side Auto, 805 Main St., Feb. 1. The theft is under investigation, and police are examining video footage. Fire The St. Paul Park Fire Department assisted on a fire call at the St. Paul Park refinery Jan. 31. The fire was put out and cleared.
A 46-year-old St. Paul Park man was cited for shoplifting at Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas Road, Jan. 23. John O'Neil Thordson, 33, of Ramsey, is facing charges after he was found shoplifting Jan. 28 at Target, 8655 East Point Douglas. He was also in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. John Haugland, 28, with no permanent address, is facing charges after being arrested for a warrant and shoplifting at Holiday, 6921 Pine Arbor Drive. Drugs
A 54-year-old St. Paul Park man was transported to detox after arriving drunk at a house he was not wanted in. A preliminary breathalyzer test recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.19. Theft
Thefts A gas drive off occurred at SuperAmerica, 1624 Hastings Ave., Jan. 8. There are no suspects.
Theft An unknown male rapidly selected several items from Kohls, 7990 Hardwood Ave., Jan. 9 and left the store without paying. Loss: $600-800. A teacher had her wallet taken from her purse Jan. 9 at Park High School, 8040 80th St. There are no suspects. Loss: $410. Devin Robert Bourgeault, 28, Hastings, was arrested pending charges of felony theft by swindle Jan. 11 at Menards, 9000 East Point Douglas. Bourgeault reportedly put a different barcode on a generator that would cause it to ring up as $50. The generator regularly cost $1,200.
Drunken driving Glen Douglas Ruiz, 59, of South St. Paul, was arrested Jan. 6 near Highway 61 and Jamaica Avenue on suspicion of drunken driving. He was also charged for refusal to test. Travis Joseph Johnson, 27, of Cottage Grove, was arrested Jan. 7 near 72nd Street and Jewel Avenue on suspicion of drunken driving. Johnson tested 0.16 in a preliminary breathalyzer test. Drugs
